About the Shaper

Raised in Jacksonville, Mike Whisnant has been building surfboards since 1973. Working with some of the most reputable surfboard brands in the market, Mike started to build a reputation for building high quality boards.

In 1989, Mike started shaping under his own name and launched Whisnant Surfboards in Jacksonville Beach. Whisnant Surfboards are hand shaped and crafted with care, allowing surfers to perform at their best and express their individual style. The brand has now become one of the most recognized surfboard brands in and out of Florida.

Mike has earned top honors at Surf Expo and has won the Florida Shape Off in 2011 and 2015, as well as the Masters of Masters title in 2016. Today, he continues to make high quality hand shaped surfboards by mixing traditional shaping techniques with new innovating surfboard designs.

Full Contest Rules

  1. Eligibility:
    1. The giveaway is open to legal residents of Florida who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
    2. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the sponsoring business are not eligible to participate.
    3. Participants must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  2. Entry:
    1. No purchase or payment is required to enter or win the giveaway.
    2. Participants may enter the giveaway by completing the entry form provided by RadiFi Credit Union.
    3. Only one entry per person is permitted.
    4. Incomplete or inaccurate entries will be disqualified.
  3. Giveaway Period:
    1. The giveaway begins at 12:00 am on June 10, 2023 and ends at 11:59 pm on July 31, 2023. All entries must be received by the specified end date and time to be eligible.
  4. Winner Selection:
    1. The winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received during the giveaway period.
    2. The selection will take place within seven days following the end of the giveaway period.
    3. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
  5. Winner Notification:
    1. The winner will be notified via email or phone within ten days of the selection.
    2. The winner must respond to the notification within ten days to claim the prize.
    3. If the winner fails to respond within the specified timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.
  6. Prize:
    1. The prize is a surfboard, as described by RadiFi.
    2. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other substitute.
    3. RadiFi reserves the right to substitute the prize with an item of similar value if necessary.
  7. Publicity:
    1. By participating in the giveaway, participants grant RadiFi Credit Union the right to use their names, photographs, and other relevant information for promotional and marketing purposes without further compensation.
  8. General Conditions:
    1. RadiFi reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the giveaway at any time without prior notice.
    2. RadiFi is not responsible for any lost, late, misdirected, or incomplete entries or technical malfunctions that may occur.
    3. By participating, participants agree to release and hold harmless RadiFi Credit Union, its employees, and agents from any and all liability arising from or related to the giveaway.
  9. Governing Law:
    1. The giveaway and these rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Florida.
